Logar zseblogarléc

Description
The mass production of slide rules was started in 1949 at Gamma Works. For general purposes, they designed two basic models with similar structures. The 10-inch Darmstadt and the 5-inch Rietz rule were in continuous production to the second half of 1970s. The earlier pocket rules have the model number 1252 on the stock, but laters have only markings of manufacturer and classification. The price for the first class rules is Ft 90.50, and Ft 60.40 for the second class ones; this price included a case.

Variations
The first series have two-colored scales: the ordinary scales painted in black, and the reverse scales and the extensions for A, B, C and D scales are painted in red for easier use. These has "GAMMA-BUDAPEST" markings on the stock along with the model number 1252. During classification, only rules approved for second precision class have been stamped with "II. osztályú" labels, the first class ones hasn't any classification stampings. The case was harder than supplied with later rules, and has the Gamma-logo engraved on them.

Due to decrease of manufacturing costs the appearance has been modified: all labels and markings printed in black. The GAMMA-BUDAPEST markings were replaced with the Gamma logo. The cases were simplified, box-shaped without any label.

This variation was produced at the Brush Factory in Monor, with brand name "Logar". All rules has markings for classification results.

After publication of the standard MSZ 4617-57 for slide rules the templates used for manufacturing pocket slide rules were re-designed with typeface according to the MSZ-standard. The labels for back scales were changed from S, S&T, T to sin, sin&tg, tg. A new marking stamp is used in the stock declaring the conformity to the MSZ-standard.
