ABM diamant-scientific 7003
Brief History
The pocket calculators branded diamant were introduced first in 1973 at the swiss ABM (Au Bon Marché, means „at reasonable prices”) department stores. The machines were imported from Japan. After the success of the first series, multiple variants were marketed. The last one of the brand diamant was the most powerful one too: the diamant-scientific 7003 used Mitsubishi’s M58628 CPU which allows 8+2 digits displayed with internal precision of 10+2 digits, and has some high-end features such hyperbolic functions and coordinate conversions. Due to dumping of cheap far-east calculators, ABM had abandoned this field.
