Braun ET11 (4954)
Brief History
The german Braun AG — similar to most electronic manufacturers — was searching for a partnership in Japan for producing existing and new products. Omron’s new calculator family from 1975 has good quality, colorful models with functionalist design: the first type (86) was produced for Braun with black coloring as Braun ET11 (4954). This machine inspired Braun’s leading designers, Dieter Rams and Dietrich Lubs, who designed a lot of pocket calculators afterwards. Omron had connections with some other companies around the world and produced similar calculators for them.
