Litronix 1101P
Brief History
Litronix's first small pocket calculator, the 1100, appeared in 1973. Most of its components were manufactured by the Litronix company itself or by their Malaysian plant, so it was able to break into the US market at very low prices. The 1100 was replaced the following year by the simplified 1101 models as well as the 1102 models equipped with a constant switch. Shortly after a version of 1101 with percentage function appeared — the 1101P. Internal components of these machines were largely standardized to reduce manufacturing costs.
These models was replaced first by the new, more curved 1600 series, which were similar to some of the American competitors, and then by the very thin and unique designed 2000 series, which have models with scientific, statistical or even programmable functions.
