Omron 88
Brief History
Based on the success of Omron’s 86 series, a version specifically designed for women, the 88, was created. Like its predecessor, it was available in four colors: in addition to the most restrained black and white versions, it was also available in yellow and orange versions. Its designers based the format of these machines similar to ginkgo leaf, which caused hard to drop out of hand. First a version with root calculation (88R) was released, then the series was continued with models with memory, using square buttons (88M, 89M). These high quality machines are still very popular today.
