Unisonic 1040
Brief History
Unisonic models, with their colors and shapes, are usually made by unknown manufacturers. As an exception, the printed circuit board in the 1040 reveals that this was manufactured by taiwanese company Zeny, which still produces calculators for big brands. The components of the 1040 are all mass-produced: the chip used is from Texas Instruments of Singapore, the display is from Futaba, Japan, and the complete keyboard assembly is made by the japanese company SMK, which still exists. An unusual feature of the machine is the presence of the GPM key. It will calculate gross profit margin.
