Casio fx-81
Brief History
One year after the first really cheap scientific calculator has been developed specifically for students, a new model was announced. The white-coloured calculator was cheaper than any other in the market, but it was electronically identical to the earlier fx-80. The only difference was the display, which has an ERROR indicator instead of STAT. Although the statistical labelling has left, the SD mode still exists and can be operated with the same keying as with fx-80.
