Híradástechnika A-100

Brief History
Híradástechnika Cooperative has started assembling three types of pocket calculators manufactured by Bowmar in 1973. After the success of these small machines, a desktop calculator has been produces under the name A-100 with ICs familiar from the K-106 (Bowmar 901D), but with decimal setting option. Display is USA-made Panaplex II gas-discharge tube made by Burroughs, which produces much larger digits than LED-displays. The mechanism of the keyboard is interestingly the same as seen in pocket calculators: the Klixon system has been expanded with springs to increase keying comfort. Then, Bowmar has produced a full series of desktop calculators.
